About

Armand Goutondji,

Photographer

I love people and I love photography!

Born in Cotonou, Benin, in the last millennium, I have been residing in South Africa for almost a decade now. After graduating as a translator-interpreter from the University of Pretoria, I started developing an interest in what is now my other love: photography.

I specialise in natural light photography and as a result I push myself to adopt and apply the following philosophy: use the minimum equipment to take the greatest pictures. For that reason, I have a very limited set of equipment which I love like no other.

"I look through the viewfinder and my world becomes a story"

This is how I perceive my photography. Please take a look at my work and feel free to contact me for more information.

Equipment:
- Canon EOS 350D (my trusted DSRL)
- Canon 18-55 mm lens
- Canon 50mm f/1.8II lens
- Tripods
- Reflector (black, white, silver, gold, diffuser) with reflector arm and stand
- and a lot of imagination and crazy ideas :-)))))
